Whether you're looking for paediatric, teen or adult support, our practitioners can help guide you

What is the Key Worker model?

In line with national guidelines for best practice in Early Childhood Intervention, a key worker is a dedicated therapist who becomes the primary point of contact for your child and your family.

They are an early childhood intervention professional, specialising in a collaborative, holistic and personalised approach to therapeutic intervention for children and their families.

The key worker model has numerous benefits such as:

Evidence-Based Approach

Focusing on capacity building and evidence-based approaches to meet goals in your child's environment.

Collaborative Care

Working together with you to understand your child's development and needs. Capacity building with your child's adults to build their skills to support your child's needs and goals in all their environments.

Coordinated Communication

Having a primary point of contact allows for smoother communication.

Time and Cost-Effective

Reducing multiple appointments with multiple therapists, saving time and costs.

Family-Centred Care

Empowering you to actively participate in your child's therapy and build a team around your child by focusing on the strengths and needs of your child and family

Building capacity

Building the capacity of the people in your child's life in their naturalistic settings, from kindergarten to home and beyond.

Holistic Approach

Your key worker will collaborate across different disciplines to combine therapy strategies for comprehensive support.

Personalised Plans

Your key worker will develop a customised plan to address your child's specific goals and challenges, walking with you along your early intervention journey.

Inclusive and Participatory Practice Engaging the Child in Natural Environments

Providing education, information and support to services and community, advocating for and supporting inclusion.

How can your Key Worker support you?

Your Key Worker uses an integrated intervention approach to provide personalised support to address your child's unique needs, founded on four key quality areas:
